Taste of Game Evening in conjunction with the BASC
Wednesday 19th November
£35.00 per person
Booking advisable - Call 01449 740510
Building on the success of last year’s Game Evening , which was a sell-out success, this year we have two dates for you to choose from. On the Wednesday 19th November, the evening is to be held once again in conjunction with the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) as part of Taste of Game Week (15-21November), an initiative designed by the BASC to encourage and promote the enjoyment of eating fresh, locally sourced game.
Food is to be sourced locally with the exception of the venison which came from the owners’ Braeroy Estate in Scotland
The lavish seven course menu will showcase the very best of game cuisine:
This year’s menu is yet to be finalised but to give you a taste of what to expect, here is last year’s menu:
Consommé of game
Confit of duck leg terrine and foie gras with pistachios
Jugged hare, pancetta & baby onions
Roasted partridge, sweet corn & marjoram broth
Elderflower & champagne sorbet
Saddle of Braeroy estate venison, celeriac & beetroot
Prune and Armagnac parfait

Justin Llewelyn Justin is one of the UK's leading equestrian commentators working at such well-known events as Badminton, Burghley and Blenheim Three Day Events, Gatcombe National Championships, and Chatsworth International One Day Event. He also went to the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 as a National Technical Official for the Equestrian Sports.
Justin has also been in the drink trade for over thirty years and now represents Champagne Taittinger in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
He is also the Consul General for Great Britain for the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne. He holds the rank of Dignitaire and is a member of the Conseil Chapitral, the governing body of the Ordre. This organisation, first founded in the 17th Century, is the only official champagne fraternity and chapters are in existence all over the world.
Justin is well known for his informative talks and believes that his speaking skills were probably inherited from his late father, Desmond Llewelyn, who was Q in seventeen of the James Bond films – and one of the most loved of all OO7 film actors.
